Brief History
Karthik Business Machines was started by Udaya Kumar and Suresh Kumar in August 1990. We started as authorised dealers for Modi Xerox Products and Modi Olivetti PC’s. In 1991 we were appointed as Authorised distributors for TVS Electronics Ltd for TVSE Products. We had our office at No.11, (Old No.35) Mahatma Gandhi Road, Bangalore. (Next to Oberoi Hotel).
We were among the first Exclusive Retail Computer showrooms to be set up in Bangalore. We started with retailing Compaq PC’s in June 1998 in MG Road. We also started a Samsung Computer Peripheral showroom in MG Road in 2000 where we dealt with assembled PC’s and Computer Peripherals.
Later we were appointed as authorised dealers for HCL- HP in 1993 and we started selling HCL and HP PC’s and HP Printers etc. We also were appointed as authorised dealers for Epson Printers in 1995 and Samsung Computer Peripherals in 2000.
We started an exclusive Compaq Computer Retail Outlet in Malleswaram in December 2000.
In 2001 HP merged with Compaq and our retail outlets became HP Exclusive retail showrooms from then onwards. We started our HP World Showroom in Jayanagar 9th Block in 2009 and in Koramangala in 2012. We have closed our showroom in M G Road in 2013.
We have been doing Computer/Laptop Repair for all Windows-based PC’s from the year 2000.
Currently we have HP World retail outlets in Malleswaram, Koramangala and Jayanagar 9th Block.
